Yes. Yes and Amen! 2010 is our Year of Extraordinary fulfillment!
That word fulfillment, as Pastor shared in the third part of his series of 2010 messages, means to be filled to the full. And that is exactly what we're getting set to experience in 2010 - a completion and realization of God's promises over our lives. Isaiah 9:6 (NET Bible), where Pastor read from, defines Christ as an "extraordinary strategist". This strategist, Pastor pointed out, shoulders the responsibility of bringing to reality our hopes and dreams, a responsibility he always fulfills.
Pastor taught that it's time for God to interrupt the ordinary and inspire the extraordinary - an overflowing, an abounding, a fulfillment of the promises of God. Just like the second chapter of Habakkuk illustrates, the vision hastens to its fulfillment and it will not deceive or disappoint; God is bringing a contentment in this year, one that can only be attributed to his extraordinary strategem!
Pastor finished with 2 Corinthians 1:20 - all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding Yes!, and through Christ, our Amen, which means yes, rises up to God for His glory (I love what the NIV says: No matter how many promises God has made, they are Yes! in Christ)
So yes! Yes and Amen! That's my Amen rising up to meet God's Yes, and waiting for the sure fulfillment of God's promises, no matter how many they are!
