At NLC, children experience church in its fullness every Sunday as they engage in praise and worship, as they receive a ‘now’ word, and experience warm small group fellowship. Our conviction is that Children’s ministry is not about giving children something to do on Sunday morning while their parents have church. Thus, the full-fledged Children’s Church service we have each Sunday replicates the main adult church service but is simplified for the children’s level.

Lessons are prepared and delivered in a way that will help the children not only understand, but apply throughout the week what they are learning. The word is intentionally prepared to have a powerful and life-changing effect. The good seed of God’s word is sowed into ready hearts, watered through heartfelt prayer and nurtured by compassionate children’s leaders.

Just as it is in the rest of the church, we have cell groups for the children, allowing them to more intimately discuss how to apply God’s Word in light of their experiences.  This way, they discover the truth in God’s word for themselves and make the individual choices to obey it.

While children aged 4 to Std 8 enjoy the service together in Kidz House, when they go into cells, those in Std 6-8 are ministered to separately as Ignites, our pre-teens ministry.

KidzHouse also organizes other events and fundays over the weekends and holidays geared towards maximum bonding and learning together as the family of God.

KidzHouse is pastored by Ms. Makena Mwithia.  Ms Catherine Mbarire and Ms Irene Mukonyo also make-up the pastoral leadership team.
