THE PRAYER
Heavenly Father, the prophet Habakkuk foresaw an unprecedented time of destruction coming on the world he knew as well as the nation he loved. Today, we choose to emulate his response. As he chose to stand firm and wait on You in prayer and intercession, so we come boldly before Your throne today. Like Habakkuk, our eyes are also on You. You are the only One with the power to eradicate this terrible pandemic that continues to wreak havoc on our cities and nations. Lord, help us not to falter in our commitment, but to stand fast and pray in this critical hour.
Today, Lord, we unite in prayer against the pandemic ravaging our world: physically, emotionally, economically, and socially. With one voice, we cry out and say, “Lord, eradicate COVID-19 and heal our world!”
Almighty God, forgive us for complaining and doubting. No matter how long it takes to eradicate COVID-19, give us the patience we need to see it defeated. With the economies of our world reeling, and many of our nations still in the dreadful grip of this virus, we take our stand on the powerful promise of Habakkuk 2:3 “…it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” While many are drowning in the despair and hopelessness flooding our world, we choose to wait patiently for Your deliverance. Our hope is in You.
Lord, in the midst of the storms rocking our world, please give us the faith and patience we need to stand on Your promises.
HeavenlyFather, like Habakkuk, we too have heard of the miraculous ways You have intervened throughout history on behalf of Your children. The memory of these divine interventions gives us the faith we need to boldly come before Your throne today. We stand united with millions of other believers around the world. We ask You to revive Your Church and make Your glorious name known through a fresh manifestation of Your presence and power in the earth.
In the name of Jesus, we cry out with one voice. We ask You to send an outpouring of Your Spirit to freshly empower Your people and result in the conversion of millions around the world.
Regardless of the circumstances surrounding us, we choose to rejoice even as we pray and wait for your intervention. Give us the strength we need to live boldly through these mountain ranges of impossibility and adversity.
Heavenly Father, we stand before You with our hands lifted in thanksgiving and praise. Thank you for the strength You have given us! We lift up our voices in unity and faith. We believe that in this critical hour, You will fill Your Church with the fresh joy and power we need to serve you.
