Have you just joined NLC? Or just given your life to Christ? Or are you simply needing to know the next step in your walk? Other than the cell group you’re a part of, we have great training opportunities to help you grow in your walk with God and flourish in His house!
First Steps
Making the decision to follow Christ is the best thing you can do! We count it a privilege to have the opportunity to help you
as you begin your walk with God, and see you get steady on your feet. NLC has developed a very useful resource called “First Steps”
to establish you in your new- found salvation.
You will go through this booklet with the leader of your cell group, who will be able to give you personal attention
and help answer any questions you may have as you go through them.
So if you’ve just received Christ, or are new to NLC, contact your cell leader for your copy of “First Steps” and begin the journey.

Encountering God
The ‘Encountering God’ track is our next level of training after finishing ‘First Steps’. It is based around the ‘Encounter’ , a life-changing weekend that is designed for every participant to have a one-on-one, face-to-face time with God.
The Encounter weekend is planned out of town and away from daily distractions and responsibilities in order to focus totally on what God wants to do in you. It’s a time for inner healing, value confrontation, finding freedom and a greater understanding of God’s divine purpose in each participant’s life.
After the Encounter, 10 post-encounter sessions are held at Church every Sunday to build on the truths shared at the Encounter and equip you with vital ‘info and tools for the journey’. These sessions cover some of the most pertinent areas of your walk in Christ – such as prayer, social life, media, money & stewardship, spiritual warfare, baptism etc.
Encounters are for both the new believer and the ‘older’ one – all of us need to encounter God in our lives! Sign up early with your Cell Leader for the next class. We believe you will never be the same after your encounter with God!

Insight
At NLC, we see the potential leader in every member! Leadership training is core in achieving our vision.
For this reason, NLC offers world-class leadership training to its members through INsight, our School of Leaders.
INsight will equip you with the knowledge and skills required to lead people anywhere. More specifically, you’ll get the practical tools to lead a cell group
and mentor others, raising up great men and women who will themselves go on to raise their own. INsight prepares believers to fulfill the great commission,
and to be mature leaders in their homes and in the fields they are called to serve the world in.
INsight is a three-level course, with each level lasting about 11 weeks. Classes are held once every week (Sunday afternoons) and lessons include foundational doctrine, leadership principles and life-skills. The syllabus also includes weekly tests and assignments (both practical and theoretical), as well as practical outreaches to different communities.
Entry into INsight requires completion of PEP. Progression to the next level is based on having successfully completed the previous level.
