THE PRAYER
Lord, we know that even in the midst of the pain and loss of COVID-19, the Holy Spirit is at work. This terrible pandemic is being used to soften the spiritual crust over the hearts of the world’s peoples. What the enemy has meant for evil has actually served to deeply plow our own hearts – as well as those of our fellow citizens. Only You, God, can bring redemption out of destruction.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus, we ask that the hearts of men, women, and children around the world be freshly opened to the message of the Gospel.
Lord, we are thankful that the seasons of plowing and harrowing do not last forever. In this hour, many of our friends, neighbors, and loved ones have become more receptive to the Gospel. It is time for us to GO and SOW. Give us the love and wisdom we need to effectively sow the seeds of the Gospel into the broken lives of those around us.
Heavenly Father, fill us afresh with the Holy Spirit’s power so we can boldly proclaim Your Word.
Lord, as Your Spirit is freshly poured out on our world, we ask You to continue to mitigate COVID-19. We pray for Your protection over doctors, nurses, first responders, and all those who serve the public day after day. We also ask You to grant supernatural wisdom to those working to develop a vaccine. However, as much as we are grateful for the health care professionals and first responders, our hope is ultimately in You.
THEREFORE, WE RISE UP, UNITED IN PRAYER, WITH ONE VOICE, SAYING: HEAVENLY FATHER, IN THE NAME OF YOUR SON JESUS, PLEASE ERADICATE COVID-19 FROM THE EARTH AND HEAL OUR LANDS. AMEN.
