Updated NLC Statement On Church Activities

In light of our President’s address on Sunday evening, March 15th, and the CS, Ministry of Health’s update on March 17th, and with much prayer, we believe it is in the best interest of our members and our city to suspend our corporate Sunday services for the next three weeks (pending further communication from the government).  Instead, we will be focusing on what we are calling: “Church At Home”.

Even though these are challenging days, we are committed to finding creative ways to care for the congregation we love! Church at Home will be providing helpful resources to enable us to stay connected and engaged with NLC Life. We’re doing this by sending out a ‘service guide’ that will merge with video content, bringing NLC right into your home.

During this time,

  • Events, rehearsals, and ministry team meetings are all put on hold until further notice. Cell meetings will also be on hold. Further information will be sent on how we will continue to care for one another in order to facilitate our staying close even while we are apart!!

  • While everyone on staff is working from home, we are still taking calls on our main number 0718652652 during work hours, and our Pastors remain available as needed.

  • Be assured, Church, that God is in control! Know that you are in our hearts and prayers each day. Be reminded from Philippians 4:6,7 (MSG), “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying – pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.  Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”

Finally, a great quote from Andy Stanley: “The church isn’t closed, just our buildings are!”  Yes!
