Serve

Serving the House, Serving the Kingdom

At NLC, we desire that everyone finds a place of function in the family of God, a place to serve in and make use of their skills and talents. The ministry and service teams provide a great way to serve and in this way, connect with the family.

Although each of the teams have some requirements for joining, it is normally required that one has completed the Encountering God track. It is recommended that all those who serve would also join and complete INsight, the School of Leaders.
Finally, our teams are built on excellence, and that is required of anyone seeking to serve.

Here’s a brief overview of the teams. You can always find out more information from your Cell Leader!

Creative arts TEAMS

The Creative Arts teams at NLC facilitate praise and worship and the creative elements needed for our Sunday services and across church events. They include the singers & band, tech team, media team, dance team, choir and the sign-language interpreters.
These teams minister each week and also have a requirement for weekly practice.

Auditions and sign-ups for these teams are announced once or twice a year, so look out for that if you’re interested.

Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
~ John 12:26 ~

Service Support teams

Our service support teams perform a critical role in ensuring everything runs smoothly. These teams include the Work Team, Ushers & Greeters, Parking, Consolidation, INsight Facilitators, Bathroom Attendants, Info Desk, and Intercessors . Sign-ups are taken at the end of the ‘Encountering God’ classes, and other forums announced from time to time.

Network Support teams

Our various networks take in volunteers to help with ministering to the various age-groups. These include KidzHouse Facilitators and Igniters, Activators for Club 8:12, CityLights Crew and the 3rd Thursday Host Teams. Look out for announcements on when these teams are recruiting, or find out from your cell leader if opportunities exist.
